Accessibility
Our accessibility status, without embellishment: what we designed to be usable by everyone, and what has not been audited yet.
Statement drawn up on À compléter : date drawn up.
Incomplete page: details required before going live
The highlighted items below can only be supplied by the site's publisher. They are not invented: this page must not be published as it stands.
- Date the statement was drawn up
- Date and author of the accessibility audit, once carried out
- Measured conformance rate and list of non-conforming criteria
- List of inaccessible content and any exemptions
- Full postal details of the publisher for a written complaint
Conformance status
No accessibility audit has yet been carried out on skillrung.com. We therefore cannot declare any conformance rate against the WCAG or the French RGAA reference framework, and we will not do so until the measurement has been made. Publishing an unmeasured figure would contradict the way we treat every other figure on this site.
An audit of the public templates and of the slide player is planned: À compléter : date and author of the audit. Its results : conformance rate, non-conforming criteria, inaccessible content, will be published here, without cherry-picking.
What has been designed with this in mind
Pending that audit, here are the design choices already in place. They can be checked by browsing the site, and they do not amount to conformance.
- Every text-and-background colour pair in our palette has been verified at a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, in both light and dark themes.
- The site follows your system's light or dark theme preference, and respects the "reduce motion" preference.
- A skip link goes straight to the main content, and a visible focus indicator permanently shows which element is active at the keyboard.
- The small-screen navigation menu is keyboard-usable: it announces its state, traps focus while open, and closes with the Escape key, returning focus to the button that opened it.
- The language switcher is made of real links, usable at the keyboard and followed without JavaScript; every page declares its language in the
langattribute, which lets a screen reader switch voice. - Pages are server-rendered: content and links are present in the page even without JavaScript.
- Link text is explicit: we use neither "learn more" nor "click here".
What we know we have to check
- The slide player and the quizzes: full keyboard journey, announcement of slide changes and of marking results.
- Rich interactive components (modals, tabs, simulators) on real screen readers, not only in static analysis.
- Rendering at 200% zoom and at reduced window widths, without loss of information or horizontal scrolling.
- Text alternatives for teaching illustrations, as courses are published.
Reporting a barrier
If you have difficulty reaching a piece of content or a feature, write to us at support@skillrung.com, stating the address of the page concerned, what you were trying to do and, if you can, the assistive technology you use. We reply and, where possible, send you the content in a usable form while the fix is being developed.
Remedies
If you report an accessibility failure that prevents you from reaching content and you do not get a satisfactory answer, you can refer the matter to the Défenseur des droits, the French ombudsman : either by writing to its delegate in your French département, or through the complaint form published on its site. This is the remedy available against a French publisher.
