Article 1, Purpose and scope
These terms and conditions of sale govern subscription to and use of the Skillrung online service, available at skillrung.com, published by À compléter : publisher's company name (hereinafter "the publisher"). They apply to every subscription, to the exclusion of any other terms.
The customer declares that they have read and accepted these terms before confirming their order. The publisher's full identity is given in the legal notice.
Article 2 : Description of the service
Skillrung is a subscription-based online learning service. Each course is a series of slides and quizzes; learning in each section is measured by a quiz. Examples and scenarios are adapted to the job the user declares.
We use the word « course » in its everyday sense of a learning path, not in the sense of the French Labour Code (articles L6313-1 and following). Skillrung never presents itself as a registered training body.
[[regulatory.quality]] As things stand, our content is not eligible for the French CPF, OPCO, DPC or FAF funding schemes. Taking a Skillrung course does not make your organisation compliant and does not replace the obligations that fall on your employer or on you. Our content is educational. It is neither legal advice, nor medical advice, nor a security audit.
The catalogue evolves: courses are added, updated and, where appropriate, withdrawn when they become out of date. The publisher makes no commitment to any publication schedule and announces no release dates publicly.
Article 3 : Free access
The first four slides of every course are accessible without an account and without a subscription, as are the Beginner-level quiz of every course, the standalone free quizzes and the guides. From the fifth slide of a course onwards, a subscription is required.
Creating a free account gives access to no additional content. It preserves your progress, the job you declared and your quiz results.
Article 4 : Price
The subscription is offered at the single price of €29.99/month incl. VAT, inclusive of all taxes, at the French VAT rate of 20% in force. This is the only price offered: there is no annual plan, no multi-user plan, no tier and no paid option.
The subscription gives access to all published courses, to every job personalisation, to all three quiz levels and to certificates, at no extra cost.
The publisher may change the subscription price. Any current subscriber is informed at least thirty days before the first payment concerned and may cancel before it applies. No price change applies to a period already paid for.
Article 5 : Ordering and payment
Subscription takes place online from your personal space. Payment is processed by Stripe, a payment service provider: the publisher has access to no complete bank details and stores none.
The subscription is monthly and renews automatically, by charge on the recorded payment method, until cancelled. Each invoice is made available in your personal space.
If a payment fails, access to paid content is maintained for a short remedy period and then suspended. The account, progress and certificates already issued are retained.
Article 6 : Term and cancellation
The subscription is entered into with no minimum term. The customer may cancel it at any time from their personal space, via the billing portal, without reason and without charge. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly period: access is maintained until that date, and no further payment is taken.
Once the subscription ends, the customer returns to the free arrangement described in article 3. Their progress, experience points, badges and certificates already issued are retained.
The publisher may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, in particular sharing of credentials, systematic extraction of content or its redistribution. The customer is informed by email, and the unused portion of the subscription is refunded pro rata, except in cases of fraud.
Article 7 : Right of withdrawal
The subscription concerns the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, performance of which begins immediately after subscribing.
In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the customer gives their express agreement to that immediate performance and expressly waives their right of withdrawal. That agreement and waiver are collected at the time of payment, by a separate, non-pre-ticked checkbox, and the customer receives confirmation of them.
Article 8 : "14-day money-back" commercial guarantee
Money back within 14 days on your first payment. This is a voluntary commercial guarantee, distinct from the statutory right of withdrawal.
To exercise it, simply write to support@skillrung.com within fourteen days of the first payment, with no need to give a reason. The refund is made to the original payment method and the subscription ends. This guarantee applies once, on the first payment.
Article 9 : Certificates
Passing a level quiz gives rise to a Skillrung certificate of completion, personal, dated, verifiable online and valid for twelve months.
[[regulatory.credential]] Publishing it at a public address is an explicit choice by the customer, revocable at any time from their personal space.
Article 10 : Availability and liability
The publisher uses reasonable means to ensure the service is available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access. Interruptions may occur for maintenance or because of technical providers.
Content is educational and up to date as at its last verification date, shown on each course. It is for the customer to assess how it applies to their particular situation, where appropriate with a qualified professional.
The publisher's liability cannot be engaged for indirect damage, nor beyond the sums actually paid by the customer over the twelve months preceding the triggering event. No provision limits the publisher's liability in the event of gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.
Article 11 : Personal data
The personal data processing carried out as part of the service is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
Article 12 : Changes to these terms
The publisher may amend these terms. Current subscribers are informed by email at least thirty days before the new version takes effect, and may cancel free of charge before that date. The version applicable to an order is the one in force on the day of that order.
Article 13 : Complaints and mediation
Any complaint may be sent to support@skillrung.com. The publisher undertakes to reply within a reasonable time.
In accordance with articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, a consumer who does not obtain satisfaction may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer ombudsman the publisher belongs to: À compléter : name and contact details of the consumer ombudsman. This recourse is reserved for consumers and does not apply to business customers.
Article 14 : Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. They are drafted in French; the English and Spanish versions are provided for information and, in the event of any divergence of interpretation, the French version prevails. Failing an amicable settlement, the dispute is brought before the competent court under the ordinary rules. À compléter : jurisdiction clause for business customers, if desired
